Targeson Signs Agreement for Imagent®

San Diego, CA – January 6, 2011 - Targeson, Inc. (Targeson) announces that it has entered into a licensing agreement with a major Chinese pharmaceutical company granting that company the exclusive rights in China and a number of additional countries to develop and market Imagent (perflexane lipid microspheres). Targeson owns an approved New Drug Application (NDA) for Imagent for a cardiovascular indication, but the product is not currently marketed in the U.S. Imagent will now be developed and registered for sale in China for all ultrasound indications, following State Food and Drug Administration (SFDA) approval. Targeson will provide technology transfer, training and support to enable the manufacture of Imagent in a new manufacturing facility in China. Under the terms of the agreement, Targeson will receive undisclosed license fees, milestones payments and royalties.
