Applications
The Targestar family of products can be used to image perfusion using real-time ultrasound. Targestar P is restricted to the vascular compartment and enables visualization of the vasculature and quantification of blood flow. Agent echogenicity is optimal at ultrasound frequencies in 1-15 MHz range. Contrast imaging settings such as pulse inversion or CPS must be enabled on the ultrasound scanner for optimal contrast sensitivity. The agent remains acoustically active for 5-15 minutes, depending on the administered dose. Optimal dosages vary with application.
Directions for Use
Targestar P is an ultrasound contrast agent to be used for vascular imaging and quantitation of blood flow in small animal models of disease. Agents may be administered as an intravenous bolus injection for routine contrast ultrasound imaging, or as a continuous venous infusion for sensitive perfusion measurements. Bolus administration can be accomplished via retro-orbital, tail vein, or jugular injection in mice.
Specifications
Targestar P is a microbubble contrast agent for imaging blood flow and vascular perfusion. The contrast agent is a intravascular tracer. Each vial contains approximately 10 mouse doses.
