Applications

Targestar P-HF imaging is optimally engineered for high perfusion imaging in small animals for the visualization of vasculature and quantification of blood flow perfusion. Agent echogenicity is optimal at ultrasound frequencies in the 20-40 MHz range. Contrast imaging settings such as pulse inversion or CPS must be enabled on the ultrasound scanner for optimal contrast sensitivity. The agent remains acoustically active for 5-15 minutes, depending on the administered dose. Optimal dosages vary with application.

"Targestar P-HF performs very well on the Vevo 2100 and provides long persistence to allow for quantitation of myocardial perfusion imaging in the murine model".

Nancy D. Dalton, University of California, San Diego, Department of Medicine, Division of Cardiology "Seaweed Laboratory" for performing non-invasive echocardiography assessment.

Directions for Use

Targestar P-HF is specifically formulated for use with ultra-high frequency ultrasound scanners (15 – 40 MHz) in small animal models of disease. Agents may be administered as an intravenous bolus injection for routine contrast ultrasound imaging, or as a continuous venous infusion for sensitive perfusion measurements. Bolus administration can be accomplished via retro-orbital, tail vein, or jugular injection in mice.

Specifications

Targestar P-HF is an ultrasound contrast agent engineered for use in animals with higher frequency scanners. It is designed for efficiency to have a long vascular persistence providing: More time to acquire your images for complete organ perfusion studies, the ability to acquire complete cardiac volume perfusion in a single bolus dose and it is conveniently provides a full day stability after septum penetration.
